In the 2000's, and in the early 2010's when I started collecting, there were like 3 tiers.

Kid Friendly Toys that Collectors also like
straight up adult collectibles

Now it's pretty much just Toddler toys and stuff that's priced too high for Parents to buy it for kids. There are exceptions, Jurassic Park is a big one, but mostly this is just how it goes and it makes me sad.

When I was a kid, I basically always had to get the $10 action figures. This is why I had more GI Joe and Star Wars than I did Marvel, they were smaller and cost less. Nowadays.... the small figures are $20 and the larger figures are $25-$30

That second April on the left. She was the one that I was Plastic Bliss for LIFE after. The rush of getting her after NEVER being able to find the original blue stripe...

I DID! I'm kind of. OLD. Much older than you might think.

When I was a small girl my parents were like OOOOH play with barbies.
Barbies were boring. Turtles were cooler. My originals were the core line when it was still in single digit card backs. That OG April was SOOOOO hard to find! My grandma searched everywhere. Had her sisters on it too.

One day, at Grandma's house? She had a gift.
From her sister.

At K-Mart. My Grand-Aunt found someone JUST opening a case. ASked "Got any Aprils"

And there. 3rd release (if you count No-Strip) fresh in the box.
Grandma told me this as I'm holding her and just start CRYING.

There was no going back to barbies after that.

TO not get into personal stuff, I lived in a rather large 3 bedroom apartment once. Just me, with plenty of space. Suddenly, started getting REAL sick. from apartment.

Packed it up, moved into smaller apartment.
Never even got unpacked. Started choking.

Turned out? Had developed an EXTREMELY severe, spontanious allergy to cats. The neighbors in both buildings had cats.

Stuff all in storage right now and I am in isolation until we can get me treated and I can resume my life.

I'm weird. I'm 27, so I think I'm younger than you are by the sounds. I grew up on the reboots of Joes, Turtles, and He-Man. Thing is, I moved on from all of them until 5th grade (2009-2010) when I discovered action figure YouTube, specifically Pixel-Dan. That's how got Into retro/ retro adjacent action figures all together, but specifically He-Man. Rise of Cobra came out around this same exact period, and that lead me to finding. I actually just tried to look up when that April was released on the TMNT database.

It MUST have been some sort of running change because it isn't listed as a release that EXISTS in the original line, via the pictures. The listing shows the original, all yellow April, then the next release was the "Ninja" April and then "April II"

I 100% had orange April before I had THIS one.

Because the purple and yellow was my SECOND April, then Movie III April was my 3rd April

I had Raph, Mikey, and Leo. But my main Donatello was the "Storage Shell" one.

I had every other one of the OG releases except the April. April and Don were the two I missed. I also had Bebop and Rocksteady.

I had the Krang, but only the small version. Was missing the Body that came separate.

So, the first Turtle figure I ever bought with my own Money was Storage Shell Don on EBay for like $15 in like 2012. Then a year later they did vintage reissues, so for a long time, I had the 3 normal reissue turtles with Storage Shell Don.

Oh my goodness this is the "Coliseum Collection"

It is an entire online-exclusive series of "Ultimate Editions" based on historical figure releases.

The ORIGINAL concept was only remakes of the LJN "Wrestling Superstars" line. But since WWE is now partnered with LJN directly, they seem to be branching out into OTHER historical releases.

The first two are this Kane, and the Hasbro Yokozuna figure

But BOTH are actually rereleases!

This Kane was originally paywalled behind a 150 dollar "RAW IS WAR" ring-playset

The Yokozuna I believe was the CHASE variety (I THINK) of a Target store exclusive.

I know it was a Chase for ONE of the Yoko releases, but I can't remember if it was the UE or not

I figured most people know about Ringside.

But with the CC line has bounced between etailer to etailer lately. It started as only on MC. Then was only Amazon for a wave. Now Ringside is in on it.

So I wasn't sure if they knew it's still online only, but you can probably find it on more than one site
