#Missile loadouts

How would you go about defining such a loadout? How would you go about assiginging loadouts to aircraft? This sounds like significant design work, coding, UI work (which requires art work) and testing.
Just a reminder that using RoE, you can specify a role and tell the unit to get it's own missiles;

How I would go about it is similar to hearts of iron naval templates;
I define say a fighterbomber template, which has (ideally) 2 AAMs and 2 AGMs, the plane will then try to draw from stores those types if it doesnt have them.
I assign this template to a plane or group of planes.
Then it will start 0/2 AAMs 0/2 AGMs and it will draw them from supply as and when it can(so it tries to keep the same mix of missiles on the plane)
Alternatively maybe in the case of SR and how it currently works it would make sense to just have a global template for each role
have a template for airsupport as a role, then select the type of missiles airsupport role units will accept and in what percentage
like 20% AAM, 80% AGM (ideally with the ability to define specific missiles rather than general class)
and be able to alter that
then that would automatically apply over all planes of that role with the match role button
The annoying thing about the missile loadouts is they flood planes with missiles without much control; if i want a plane to have say half AAMs and half AGMs I have to manually do that for every plane. I can easily get the game to send out all my missiles of a certain type to every plane of that role and deployed or being deployed but thats super heavy handed.
any mechanism to be able to control that flow a bit would be helpful
its nice that fighters will take anti air missles and ground attack will take ground missiles, that is very helpful
would be nice to have a bit more control over how sometimes
I'm confused. We don't model AA missiles as missile units. I'm unclear what missile types you're looking at.
This still seems like a very large development feature, not likely within the scope of anything we can do in the short term.
I mean missiles that are used against aircraft vs missiles used against ground units
The game has no missile units that target aircraft. AAMs are "ammo" for aircraft.
ah yes i was being silly, forget about AAMs i mean like fractions of any missles period
say i have this plane;
I can load a single missile or i can load until full
and i can do the same per missile to just shove them into every available aircraft
but theres no mechanism to say 'load 50/50 anti ship vs anti ground', or do so for multiple planes
thats what i mean, apologies for being confusing
its not that its not possible to do what i want within the game, its that its really annoying to have to manually load every single plane with whatever missile loadouts i want
