In fact, there is no ideological system in the SR.
It's just a label, except democracy.

Democracy has its own unique game mechanic of elections.
It's done well, but after losing the election, you're not allowed to continue playing for another country, which is just strange.
If I choose a dictator, I will not receive proper resistance from the military or citizens.

Why not do unique things for each ideology and make possibility to change ideology of country under certain conditions?
Why not make bonuses from ideology?
Please remake this game mechanic.

I agree they should rework this entire concept, but I disagree with this proposal.

Maybe I am confusing the form of government and ideology. But I remember that in SR country may be a dictatorship or communism.

It seems to me that dictatorship and communism are two different things.

#

I don't understand very well these things.

I don't think it's a good time investment for BG as this would require adding to the core game or put up another bloat with very little value to gameplay mecanics. My request in this regard is much less but adds much needed functionality. I would like a lost election becoming a single portrait change in the game along with an undefined period (defined by diplo difficulty?) of uprisings threatening to become a clone nation extremely antagonistic to the former nation and create a NEMESIS paradox. Making this change, I guess, wouldn't require that much work but would add a lot of scenarios possibilities.

So when I write this proposal out to @tiny torrent I am speaking about a different game, not SR2030.
