Question: does the story have to be about LGBT stuff or does it just need good representation?
The story doesn't need to be about LGBT stuff, no. Just have good rep.
Umbrella academy ^-^
I think the most important part of any kind of LGBT inclusion is that being gay is not a personality trait. I hate movies that just throw in gay characters and that's the entire character just that they are gay. Characters should have a good story and personality, and them being gay should just be a natural flow in the story.
---All shows on netflix---
Sense8
Sci-fi, Thriller, Lesbian/Gay/Trans
I am not okay with this
Coming of Age, Fantasy, Comedy, Lesbian
Atypical
Coming of Age, Comedy, Lesbian
Sex education
Coming of Age, Comedy, Gay (and a bunch of others but mainly gay)
Orange is the new black
Prison, Comedy, Lesbian/Trans
That's a nice sentiment, do you think Umbrella Academy follows this?
I do, one of the main story arcs for a character falls his lovelife. You could have replaced the gay lover with a women and made the character straight and it would not have changed the story.
I love vanya/viktor so much
They are all such great characters
Yesss I'm so excited for the next season
me tooooo
I have never watched but I'm glad you're having fun!
I love Elliot but someone should’ve told him maybe his hair shouldn’t look like that
Another amazing lesbian movie on netflix is "The Half of It", I really recommend it

And this is a lesbian movie I've been meaning to watch for a while
"ek ladki ko dekha toh aisa laga" is a bollywood about a lesbian couple and even tho one of the most important characters is male, the couple is very cute and it also is kind of against gender roles. You should be able to watch it on Netflix.
Cool I added it to my watchlist
Oh yeah and of course, she-ra
It's very gay and wholesome
But it's not even about being lgbt+, it just contains a bunch of queer characters
it reminds me of another bollywood movie hold on

Im happy Alex got the love he deserved in 13 reasons why
A good peice of LGBT representation in movies is Marvels Eternals. Not an amazing movie by any means I would put it at a 6.5/10, good but just feels lacking in ways the budget shouldn't lack.
But as far as the representation it was put in great. He just is a man whom wants to live with his husband and son
Nothing forced it just exists
Just seeing this makes me smile though
Someone made a list on twitter of LGBT movies with happy endings!

The unique new comedy is loosely based on the true adventures of 18th century would-be pirate, Stede Bonnet, played by Rhys Darby. After trading in his comfortable life for one of a buccaneer, Stede becomes captain of a pirate ship, but struggles to earn the respect of his potentially mutinous crew. Stede’s fortunes change after a fateful run-in...
