Description:
Weavers is a homebrew TTRPG system that utilises a fluid magic system where player characters, also known as Weavers, can create their own spells (albeit within some constraints). The aim of this game is to playtest what I've got currently written in order to establish a proof of concept to see whether:
A) The system is enjoyable
B) The system is worth developing further.
In the setting of this game magic is commonplace and what sets Weavers apart from each other are their affinities to different types of magic (otherwise known as arts)
Character customisation is designed to be fluid and free with characters able to organically grow their skills through playing and experimenting with different approaches to problem solving.
The intent behind this game is to run the game from levels 1-3 within the system (the system has content until level 5) and then to reconvene to talk about how people feel about the game.
Plot Hook:
Your days at the academy are nearing their end. Sometime soon you'll have to find some way to sustain yourself. Maybe you could keep studying further, eventually teach at the academy. You could always slum it doing manual labour. Or perhaps you could find your luck with one of the guilds.
Of course, whatever you choose, it's probably best you stick together. Magic these days feels... different.
As if there's something beneath your skin, begging to break free.
You think nothing of it. You find a nice guild, the Rosendale Explorers Society. Your first task? To trek your way to an old tower atop the hill to prove your worth.
How fun.
