Same for a lot of extinct specimens we have actually. We never know for sure how accurate any of our measurements are because most specimens are just fragments and can carry wildly varying data because individual animals are wildly variable

it punished you for exploring, the economy was awful, the fall damage was ridiculously high which is another way it punished exploration

I also absolutely despise when in games you have some sort of quality in a crafting system and yet whatever you produce is always worth the same money you spent on the ingredients to make it

they're like "but if you get really good at crafting it will make you way too rich!" SO WHAT?

I do prefer if you have something like morrowind where you can either be so good at mercantile, or use illusion magic like a creep, that you can eventually sell it dead even

really that's what's most fun about it

like imagine focusing on alchemy, you train to level up your alchemy skill to the max

you get all the materials, many of which are rare and dangerous to get and can't buy them anywhere

you craft the most ridiculous potion possible

and then it sells for the same money you would've gotten if you just sold each ingredient separately

and you're at a money loss because you spent so much money on training your alchemy and getting the best set

A potion to make you feet wiggle it cost me TITANIUM AND URANIUM but you will be fine

in morrowind you can do a pretty funny thing

you can craft a potion that increases your intelligence

and how good your potions are partially scales off of your intelligence

IM SMARTER but im not stronger

so you can just keep making potions that increase your intelligence, drink them, and make a stronger one

and you can eventually become so intelligent you might as well break the 4th wall

because you use it to one shot an actual god with some shitty cheap fire spell
