Music is a human expression, it uses hard work and requires the composer to sit down and actually try to understand what they are making or how any of it...works.
It kinda loses all meaning when it can be made in seconds, and it takes away all artistic expression.
Whether its a result of being lazy, or it being generated.
If you "generate music," you didn't make anything.
Sure you may feel like you have ownership over it and you can say that yeah, you made it, but still. It kinda just strips music of what it's supposed to be.
At least that's my stance on it.

while I do understand and respect that stance, cuz yea art is expressly human, I dont share the sentiment that someone has to fully comprehend/understand what they are making in order to create art, whether you consider ai music art is your own interpretation, but that alone means to some extent it undoubtedly does count. to that point, using suno, in my experience at least within the short two weeks I've had it, is not just clicking a button and calling it a day, at least not if you actually have something in mind you're trying to make which is the case for me, as I already know what I want the song to sound like.
so to me, as inexperienced as I am, making a melody manually or by engineering and splicing it together, is equivocally the same. so if programs can generate vocals there isnt a distinction for me. if they cant, those programs are innately less useful and more of a hinderance for me who cant spend all that time learning the skill and cant afford to pay musicians properly..
but I do still fundamentally understand the art is human argument, but dont think it's enough of a reason that no one should be allowed to express their creativity unless they can create the whole thing from scratch and take on 5 new skills in the process.. I'm trying to be a comic artist, I cant spend all day learning music for a passion side project...

You don't have to understand everything to know what's a good note from a bad note
"understanding" music is just finding out why this random thing you just did sounds good.
You don't have to be a genius or decent to make music
And as for the accessibility thing
If you have a phone, you can make music. If you have access to the internet, you can make music. If you even have the privilege of wearing clothes and having a house/apartment, you can make music. There's bandlab, GarageBand, LMMS, etc.
I understand that you don't really have the time to learn a bunch of new skills for a side project
And that ai music does count to some extent.
But if I'm being brutally honest ai music will never in any case be your music.
The reason that it counts due to "an extent" is because AI uses human made music, puts it into an algorithm of sorts, and then generates something based on your topic to get the result you want.
And the problem lies within that paragraph itself.
It just takes what you want, finds something similar, and regurgitates it.
You didn't make that. It was a collage and a 'do over' of multiple peoples music, combined into one.
When people quote the music in this 'side project', they're not going to say that it was you who made it, because it was generated.
But I definetly understand the concept of not having time to learn this stuff, music can be hard to comprehend and understand.
Might not fit into your schedule, might just be boring to learn about, whatever. I understand.
It's music, but for absolutely what.

regardless tho I have come away with this with more of an insight into why people dont like ai music, I personally see a massive distinction between ai art and ai music tools, at least in my personal experience, but I can see why it appears to lack soul to many. ai music does still seem to get a lot more undeserving hatred I feel, but the same can be said for many things, we're all opinionated assholes in the end xD
