Death is a popular theme in anime because its something everyone must face irl. Fiction is our way of coping and processing our reality, whether we make it or consume it

So.. on this guy. Yes, Zenitsu is and can be very annoying. He at least has a reason to be. If you actually read into his backstory, you would know why. He secretly blames himself for his trainer's death. He wasn't strong enough to protect those he loves. That's a solid reason, unlike Deku from seasons 1-3 of MHA. (FIGHT ME, HE LITERALLY CRIES FOR NO REASON, AND DID NOT EVEN HAVE TO BE A HERO.)

To elaborate in a less salty way. There are better ways to have a hero without superpowers. Batman is a great example

Use something that other heroes around you don't use as often because they have powers; your brain. They could have made Deku more of a smart character that isn't underestimated because he uses his brain. And don't tell me that a teenager without super powers can't do that, Robin from Teen Titans and in general EXISTS

Zenitsu, is a crybaby because he is heavily insecure of his own strengths, and because he was abused heavily. At least he isn't indecisive. In Demon Slayer, you can't be indecisive, or you are LUNCH

Well an example I find being said sometimes is how One Piece always fails to kill people, and I just ask, why do they need to die? One pieces entire plot is based on making sad, trapped people feel happy and free again, hell the biggest powerup in the series causes Luffy to laugh and have the time of his life the entire time it's active, as opposed to attack on titan for example where you need to be fuelled with rage and a motive to transform into a titan.

It's also the reason why I stopped reading jjk, it just got sadder and sadder for me and just didn't make me feel good when reading it.
