though regrettably due to this server being 13+ I cannot go into much detail into the show itself due to how violent and dark the world can get at times

but assuming you dont mind crying for about 6 episodes straight its a really good watch

im not kidding about that btw in season 2 I was watching half the show through tears

its both emotionally gutwrenching yet super enjoyable at the same time

Sadness, exestential dread, Curiosity and wonder, disgust and beauty all pulled together into one neat package

i cant really describe the experience with words if im being truly honest

you may hear this about many shows, but this of ANY anime or hell any show of any medium of entertainment you can only experience yourself by watching

no description can truly capture the world that is Made in Abyss

though do ne warned there can be some very gruesome scenes

I mean it disguises itself like one but i would never show this shit to children

my unsofisticated and vague way of explaining things really does do a diservice to the wild ride Made in Abyss takes you on

the anime itself

it has 2 seasons and 3* movies

take note of the asterisk

the first 2 movies are just recaps of the first and second half of season one

and the 3rd movie comes before season 2 story-wise

theres also the manga which is currently on chapter 64 i think

it seems to me like the manga and anime are being worked on side-by side almost

you can really tell in the later chapters because the anime and manga seem to follow the same pacing

it took me like a weekend to binge the whole series

and i have a life outside of the internet

so it wont take much of your time

its BEEN out

currently they are working on the manga and season 3 together

season 2 is a particularly tragic story

and then the 3rd movie wich is about the same length as half a season
