So Admiral Grodus from TTYD and O'Chunks from SPM

They're both goofballs

They think they're tough but aren't exactly incredibly powerful

Where they differ, though, is emotional investment

At the surface level there wasn't much that made Grodus a character who had a story I cared about

Sure he was funny

But not captivating

O'Chunks, on the other hand, is a Scottish man who farts a lot

And yet has a surprising amount of depth

And I'm not going into lore that isn't told in the main game

I mean developments that are actually told in the story

On top of his constant running jokes about arguing on if he or Mario is more manly

He's also fulfilling a blood oath

He had a wife and two kids

And they were killed

Count Bleck, the main antagonist, takes him in at his lowest moment and O'Chunks swears his loyalty to him

Even when Count Bleck changes his heart, O'Chunks is not deterred

He's not evil, just loyal to someone who was on the wrong track

He's not nothing but stupid muscle

He's a person that you care about his will being by the end of the game

Grodus gets beat up at the end and noone cares
