The new skate game is pretty fun so far, and all I've done is just follow the missions. The map at first seemed small but there's actually alot to it. Already by chance collected to music playlists found in the wild. And I'm playing it on my xbox one so that's awesome. I'd say give it a try, especially as it's free to play. So you can't have a flying character in full heavy armor shooting people with a bow for more than a turn before needing to rest.

I don't personally agree with the design decisions made to do so. I think I used the wrong word there. It's not just environmental hostility. Every area has some degree of that, it's a Metroidvania. It's that hint of malice in the design that I hate about it.

It's one thing when an area is slightly less fun to navigate or has some mild annoyances that push towards a different approach. It's another when it's actively and purposefully a slog ||and the only way to remove one of those issues is to go to a different area positioned after that one with its entrance hidden in a completely separate map||.

The hardest part of the area is honestly anywhere but the boss because the enemies just jump up unprompted whereas in the that fight they telegraph before coming up so you can just ambush the ambush with an ambush²

Pogoing is how I ended up beating him. And I'm a HK player, everything is doable until proven otherwise. It wasn't until I got through all of Bilewater and reached the boss that I felt I was truly underprepared though and by then like, I ain't going through the area again so.

All of that and I didn't find the Pickled Muckmaggot I was looking for in order to upgrade my Needle, which was the whole reason I was there. 😭

See that's the thing. Had you played it fully blind you don't know, so you do stupid stuff compared to if you knew where what you're looking for is. If there was a more clear tell of where the Muckmaggot was I probably would have put Bilewater off until my second Needle upgrade, which would have lead to a lot less frustration (although it doesn't fix the fundamental issues I have with the area).

Yeah, but looking up how to do a quest that gives you the most fundamental upgrade for the player experience definitely changes your thoughts on a given area you may have explored to find one of the items for that upgrade.

We have been getting a LOT of electrical focus lately and honestly im glad, but there hasnt been a electric sentry, or eagle, or strike, however i just thought of electric MINES.

Web-Wire Battery mines: Basically a normal mine layer, gets launched down, spins out, but this time it spins out in a giant net kinda, each mine has wires conected to all surrounding mines and after a 2 second wait the wires are electrified, anything caught under the net will be fried to death, and anything that steps within the web will be shocked, stepping on a mine itself will blow up the mine with a stun explosion instead of a bomb

Did i cook? Or did i burn the pan?

Guys I think I have a cooking idea for the third hollow knight game.

It is not zote boat, but the original hollow knight.

Just think about it, in the fourth and fifth ending of HK we see hornet outside the black egg and the hollow knight step out. It can be assumed that they fight, but even if they did he could've survived.
So what if the game was about him, and his journey trying to kill whatever godseeker turned into after he vanished from the sewers?
Possible flaws is that the size is a bit awkward, but he can just fight larger bugs to help fix that problem, or resize HK himself. Another is the fact of whether or not he is devoid of any radiance after the knight killed it, but oh well.

I think after two HK games and nearly ten years of it I wanna see what they can do that's fresh instead of being in the same world and visual style for the third time.

I'd also rather new characters without any returning ones if they did make a third. I want to see the world through a new lens if we go that route. Original THK would thematically be the same as playing the Knight again.
