and looking at the other team, i think theres only one player as well
unless youre playing at at decent level in mp ranked, there will pretty much always be some bots to fill a lobby, and the bots leave as more players join the match
and at low ranks you cn face bots a lot, but at higher ranks, its always full player lobbies, which means it can take a while sometimes to load into a match

The thing is though is that they play Zero Suit Samus. So I do lose countless times. I feel as if even if I get better my character will still weigh me down. (I do like playing King Dedede though). against zss, use gordos for zoning and always try to make her grapple as early as possible when she’s offstage by using them just because she’s so good offstage. then just play around her stun when onstage, since that’s the only real kill confirm she has against you as long as you don’t get combo’d off of ledge

Yeah I know but the character is still a part of that. ZSS is a rushdown character while Dedede is more of a zoner. A heavyweight zoner. Dedede can get easily juggled by ZSS since he's naturally slow. If both players are of equal skill i'd say what they're working with in their set is also a factor.
I feel like you'd need to try harder with DDD because it's a bad matchup but I see where you're going.
