I mean it is my first real project, I've only done two walk cycles before in terms of character animation, I've done minor environmental animations. And by my way, calling oneself an animator or an artist suggest one is at least skilled in it, and I find calling myself either of those labels as hybris

It doesn't suck persay, but I just find it operating clunky the workflow is so weird, I might be slightly biased since I know blenders workflow like my back pocket. But it's also alot harder to find I fo on stuff, people say that what makes Maya great is the graph editor, but I find blenders way more intuitive

These are a bit more pricey but these are some very good quality ones from huion (screenshots are from the website), I’d honestly recommend either; I was looking at getting the kamvas 16 gen 3. They’re both very similar with the main differences being the pen and the buttons on the side. The kamvas 16 gen 3 has the most updated pen, and I liked the wheels for easy button shortcuts like adjusting the canvas size or the brush size
