someone in another server asked me how lizard scales work so here is a diagram with my lizur

bearded dragon scales are surprisingly flexible! they are soft and bend when they are relaxed

however they can be very sharp when a bearded dragon is stressed, because they tighten up their bodies and aim the scales upwards, kind of like a porcupine
