I'll use a wolf for these purposes because they are rather simple anatomy-wise

First, the head and face. You're going to want a sort of ridge above the eye (this isn't the eyebrow) with pointed ears directly above it. You also want jagged edges to give the appearance of fur. You want a section right above and below the eye for eyelids (also covered in fur).

Now for the body and legs. You need to add a noticeable ridge for the shoulder blades with more jagged edges for fur. The tops of the legs should not connect but should go past the stomach (its best to make the fur stick out a bit more on the elbows). The stomach should taper a little towards the back.
