Being able to control replay playback in private lobbies would be very useful for examining and understanding the geometry of specific points in time of the BFM in private lobbies. Then random matches probably shouldn't have those control to allow both player to watch, but during private matches this would help greatly when examining the replay to assist in learning the right/wrong of the fight with the other players in the lobby.

i dont see it happening the current way ranked intermission is 30 ish seconds
