4th Gen Dual engine Mid/Light fighter with 3D Thrust Vectoring.

I would like to suggest a 4th Gen Mid/Light fighter with 3D thrust vectoring as a main feature with a size in-between the F/A-26B and F-45A with decent speed. To fully make use of 3D Thrust Vectoring the aircraft would have to have the engines set a good distance apart, so for inspiration I would like to suggest something along the lines of the MiG-29/Su-27 with engines set a good distance apart and room for underslung ordinance. (Note: This is not a request for a MiG-29/Su-27 just a source of inspiration.) We do already have an aircraft with similar engine placement in the EF-24G although it does not have TVC. Pulling from these planes for inspiration would satisfy the people that want RedFor playable planes. This could also lead to possible Equipment such as Infrared Search & Track (IRST) Which could be added to airframes with integrated TGP/EOTS ,although not required.

Ultimately I would like to see a Mid sized Fighter with 3D TVC as a main feature. This could be controlled by the Fly-By-Wire system and only turn on under a certain speed or alternately forced on by a Switch on the same panel with the G limit and flight assist. Performance wise I would like to see this plane have a Decent Top speed and Acceleration similar to but less than the F/A-26B, be able to Pull Around 12 Gs before damage. For example the F/A-26B can sustain 13Gs before taking airframe damage, and the T-55 can Sustain 11Gs before taking airframe damage, this would place it between the F/A-26B and T-55 performance wise filling the gap in playable planes. I would like this to be a good dogfighter but not the Flat out best as this would make it boring.

TLDR:
4th Gen Mid/Light Fighter Dual Engines
3D Thrust Vectoring as a main feature
12Gs Sustained before damage
Speed Slightly slower than F/A-26B
Minor focus on Close in Air to Air performance

Thrust vectoring is objectively op in dogfights, even if this has a mid turn circle and rate

#

look at the 45, and that isnt even actual thrust vectoring

I don't think we really need it either

#

ASW and a light strike aircraft should come before imo

#

(And blackhawk)

Light strike aircraft? Like the T-55? 🤨

jokes aside, the probably mean something thats like the sky warden

Ignore the part at the end thats crossed out its not important

We do have the T-55 which craps out speed 🤔

#

1 circle fighting definitely leads to flexing the Thrust vectoring more

Id like to have a 4th gen with performance somewhere between the 26 and 55 not the outright best but not as disappointing as the 55 can be sometimes, and I say this spending 80% to 90% of my time in game in the 55.

I love this idea

I too desire a light fighter. I don't like how underpowered the T-55 is. I do not care it's just a trainer. That rationale is dumb. Give it an option for a slightly stronger engine and/or discard the back seat if you want to take the easy approach.

But a whole new plane is fine too.

Iirc the Mig-35K does have AShW capabilities no?

#

Looked it up, yeah it does have AShW capabilities. It has the KH-31 Missile plus the whole other assortment of KH missiles and KABs

#

So, in summary: both a thrust vectoring & AShW plane is possible

Idk if anti naval stuff would really need a dedicated airframe it could just be added to all the existing aircraft as equipment, and if it did idk that this suggestion would fit it.

If naval combat were to be expanded I dont see why it would have to be plane specific unless you give the aircraft special tools which goes back to the second point of not fitting this suggestion.

#

Not against it as an aspect of the game that could be expanded, just dont see how it fits in with a close range air to air focused aircraft.

There are currently 3 "competitively" viable aircraft to use (26, 45, 24) and two of them are 5th gens. That's 66.(6)%. Baha pls fix (by adding another viable 4th gen fighter).

I believe a T-55 with a buffed engine and 2 extra hardpoints would be good enough to fill that role (F-55 when?)

#

Alternately, baha could add an aircraft which is usually worse than the 26, but not always (by being unique, as is the case with the 24 (IRST pods when?))

#

I would love a 4th gen with mid-range IRs

On top of different actual performance

the F-45 is locked to 10Gs and the 24 is to 9G

You can overspeed the aircraft a lot easier than the 26 because of when the 55 starts taking damage from Gs

#

Giving it a stronger engine would be nice but wouldn't fix its other shortcomings is my point

right now you're a brick with any more than a few AGMs
