the A-10 is just wayy to slow if we're going to bring it up. Yeah it can carry a lot, but barely exceeding 400 knots on a good day. The 42 has a bit of speed, VTOL capability, way more munition variety

Things that a dedicated fix wing CAS can add to the game: The only non rotary wing ground radar, something that wasn't designed as a fighter or utility craft first and ground attack as a secondary roll, Long loiter time, the possibility of a new engine type (turboprop anyone?), and an increased survivability for damage airframe.

I mean I get the appeal for a new CAS platform, but the A-10 shrimply ain't it chief.
the other airframes are simply too fast and I believe that it'll be like the AH-94 when it comes to missions. Either it's implemented and fails to really reach objectives without close spawns or a mission specifcally built for them

the A-10 kinda gets overshadowed by other aircraft. the Helo is great for ground pound, CAS stuff. its slow and needs to be close by. long transit times. the 26 is a fast mover that can slam the ground with the entire kitchen. the A-10 is just a bad mix between the two as an idea
even with the new elements it just doesnt cut it in terms of gameplay or mission design
i get the appeal and all. sure it would sell like crazy
