To assist in certain aircrafts inherent vulnerability in certain designs and roles, certain aircraft should be defaulted to have more CMS. The current system is that all aircraft uniformly have 120 flares and 120 chaff, but to make the different aircraft more unique to themselves, I suggest that certain aircraft could be given more than the baseline countermeasures.

NOTE: I do not want to reduce any aircraft countermeasure count, purely because doing so could upset the balance of certain missions and make certain aircraft unnecessarily weaker.

Basic Increase
AH-94 & Kestrel: 320/320 (due to heavy reliance when facing manpads in close range, and vulnerability to enemy SAMs)
F/A-26 & T-55: 240/240 (No form of passive survivability, So it could use more countermeasures to counteract this)
F-45A & EF-24G: 120/120 unchanged (Inherent passive survivability due to longer range and stealth, as well as advanced jammers + decoys)

These numbers also partially mirror real numbers (Although nearly doubled in most cases) with examples like the f-35 carrying 60/60, the F-15 carrying 144/144, and the A10 Carrying 240/240

Advanced Changes (Partially separate from main suggestion)
This would be changes and differences to each of the aircrafts actual countermeasures to make them more unique, and slightly better in some cases. These changes would mostly apply to the aircraft like the Kestrel and AH-94, but could be added to others

Some examples would be giving the 94 better more dense chaff, or slower falling longer burning flares to the kestrel

Alternatively, you could get a little more creative and add something like ARM-031 Propelled flares, which use rocket boosters to separate themselves from the deploying aircraft after launch, and you could maybe configure them to do different things (Such as only half are propelled, or you can turn the feature off). You could also do something like changing countermeasure position or adding more dispensers to launch from to give unique dispersal patterns.

These changes would work as a way to enhance the currently weaker aircraft into more fun and unique roles and differentiate them from each other.

These are also the things you could do with more unique CMS bucket placement, with more dispensers

#

Or even the flares going straight up like on russian planes

#

also the flare release pattern on the SU27 is funny

I think T55 should get fewer CMS and 24 should get more.
The 55 runs quite cool and the 24 is by far the hottest jet

Yo wait

Instantly?

Does the remaining heating linger or is it just a zero

i dont remember 100%. I did some testing with moose awhile back with firing an AIRST at his 26 at like 15nm and he shut both engines down with APU on and the missile almost instantly went stupid

#

if its not instant its near instant. the heat indicators in the 24 are pulled directly from the actual game values and you can go from 4,000 degrees to 0 in a blink
