Tfr pods are something I would kill for, this and HUD locked nvgs would be so nice
NAVFLIR yeah
Begging
the real life LANTIRN navigation pod has both the TFR and the NAVFLIR
i like the nods but it shouldn't be a slow fade-in/out animation
should be instantanious
or actauuly have nods that flip up and dow
Tornado GR4?
A more dedicated attack aircraft would be nice, as the 26 is general purpose and I see the 42 as a more utility aircraft. I haven’t looked into the tornado series of aircraft, maybe they’d work?
Eh they were kinda a mixed bag, basically same principal as the euro fighter went into it when developing the aircraft and program but it ended up super expensive and underperforming so most of the country's backed out after the first couple of models of tornadoes dropped it was then religated to ground strikes and then when the UK needed a new aircraft for a2a while that was being developed the retrofit as best they could a tornado with modern air to air weapons with a lot of difficulty (basically every tornado was different due to the weird and quirky upgrades every maintainer had hap hazzardly thrown in the aircraft to fix things)
Cool aircraft tho don't get me wrong it's just a massive failure of a program
The tornado is a fan favourite of us british. It was used heavily in Iraq in the 80s and it's famous weapon was its cratering bomblets. You fly low towards a runway, pull up and drop these bomblets along the runway disabling it. Plus, they'd deploy anti personnel mines to hinder repair efforts. Would be a very interesting mission imo - disable the enemys runway to stop fighters from launcing. It had other capabilities of course but that was the main one.
Point taken, and the radar was shite
point mostly taken but the tornado has its upsides. Anyway. Just a thought.
They had a bad habit originally of locking the pilot on ab when the wing sweep would fail
Really goofy
haha I didn't know that
That was the salutation to prevent pilots from pulling wing sweep out of max when too fast
Really stupid when you think about it for more then a few seconds
downside, you can't land and you run out of fuel
better off climbing and killing the engine. I don't know if you can slip in a swept wing?
Wdym slip
Ah yea you should if anything once your stuck in full sweep it should be easier due to the less lift
true. I might give it a go in the EF-24 in a sec
