As the title says, the addition of a gamma slider would help players with HMDs or eyes (the jury is out on which it is) who feel night is too bright, and also just be a nice feature in general, where 1 is the games default gamma and 0 a darker value.

As a oled user I can't see fucking shit in the black this would help

How would that affect an HMD?

Afaik gamma sliders don’t affect displays directly but the image that is sent to it, a gamma slider would allow people to darken the image or lighten it to their preference, with bounds obv so you don’t end up with weird night vision without nods like you could in arma 2

This would be great because hmds like the quests 1 and 2 don’t seem to have a lower end brightness that is dark enough for some people, myself included. Rather than just making nights darker for everyone, which then causes the opposite issue for players who find it dark enough already, a slider would be the happy middle ground where users can define what is acceptable for them

True, and we already got user configurable Nods, so I don’t see why not

Oh I know

#

Something that effects the whole game should be in the main menu

i think one of these could be helpful

I feel like just having two screenshots in game for reference would be better, one for day and one for night, and maybe multiple others.

Those almost never actually represent how it’ll affect the game imo.

the barely visible logos are less open to interpretation

#

but that doesn’t matter really

#

problem with a screenshot of night time is just that it depends on moonlight level

It's still better then the logos tbh
