NEW ADDITIONS

Based off of the A-4 Skyhawk (Img 1), so no TGP however,
AIR 2 GROUND RADAR
Comes with 2 modes, Terrain Clearance for avoiding obstacles in azimuth and elevation, as well as Air to Ground for weapons.

The radar comes with a minimum range of 0 miles, and a maximum range of 40 miles. Has an azimuth of 60 degrees and elevation angle of 10 degrees.

The Terrain Clearance (img 2) mode is a B-scope which displays obstacles in front of the aircraft. Sweeps from +15 degrees to -25 degrees in elevation, and a beam width of 10 degrees. Other than that pretty simple.

Air to Ground mode (Img 3), acts basically the same as in the AH-94. Unlike the Skyhawk does not require a dive to lock on within 15,000 yards.

An anti-radiation missile, which functions similarly to the AIM-9 Sidewinder, but instead it targets radars. To use you aim the nose at the target, wait for the growl, and fire. Maybe head tracking could be enabled for these?

MK-77
A 750lb incendiary dumb bomb, a combination of napalm and white phosphorus basically.

People want 2,000lb bombs! This plane would be able to hold only 1, however this could introduce 2,000lb bombs to other planes, including GPS and laser guided.

MK-82 High Drag Snakeye

A lower drag version of the MK-82AIR. Also a cheaper version (price rework pls baha) The MK-82 is an unguided 500lb bomb with a Tail Retarding Device (Img 4). Cannot be deployed above Mach 1, and has the best accuracy low to the ground.

An anti-tank cluster bomb. Useful for taking out groups of tanks, or armored vehicles.

Something more a2g focused than the AV-42
Sure the AV-42 is an a2g attack plane, it is used more as a CASEVAC aircraft instead of a ground attack. Plus ground attack has always felt weird in it considering its heaviness.

How is this different than the AV-42?
Different from the AV-42 because its more ground oriented instead of CASEVAC. It's also much more maneuverable than the 42C.

Why should this be added/why is it important?
-It fills a role that the AV-42 only kind of fills.

Should this be a priority addition?
No, obviously not. Something like ASW is more important than this, and performace and QOL fall before anything else.

Technically the 42 has the fastest turn rate (which is kinda stupid and should be changed) but it is also slow and fat. So it's faster, has a higher roll rate, and easier to control overall

Also idk if it's a me issue but it's harder to control than the other planes

the reason for the fast turn rate is the VTOL, not any aerodynamics
for an a-4 to out turn a av-42 it would have to be really unrealistic (cause the 42 is)

also I don't really get why we need mk-82 high drag, we have mk82-AIR, which are just a better version of them
