#player reviews

I agree with browning, this is a solution looking for a problem. Most people won't post a review if they're happy about someone or just fine with them, but they definitely will if they're angry. Unofficial player review sites I've seen for other games rarely ever have positive comments left on players but plenty of negative ones, and those can range from legitimate complaints to toxic players looking for someone to project blame onto.
I think instead just having a persistent blacklist of people that aren't allowed to enter lobbies you make would work fine for weeding out people you don't want to play with again. You could have it set to show the names of any friends or blacklisted players underneath each lobby if you hover your pointer over it.
Well the game doesn't seem to go through steam the way to block recent players. This game is gonna die off with the constant amount of closed games since there isn't host migration or anything negative against team killing.
there definitely is negative things against team killing. you cant do much if its the host that is team killing, but if its another player, i have seen lobbies where once someone attacks, 2 or 3 players spawn camp that dude until he quits.
Did you know that if you get kicked or banned you can rejoin? It let me do it after I tried.
in almost 400 hours I can probably count the number of intentional, malicious instances of teamkilling I've seen on one hand. In nearly every case, teamkills are accidental. There comes a point where "sorry" doesn't cut it for accidents, but that and other moderation is up for the host or the majority of the lobby to decide how they want to run their game.
Hosts leaving is annoying, but just one of the things you deal with when you're talking about player hosted lobbies. I don't think people ought to be penalized for it. Either allowing for dedicated servers or host migration would be the better way forward. Baha said 3 years ago he'd prefer the former over the latter, but who knows how his opinion has shifted since then with how much the game has grown
host kicks and lobby votekicks allow people to rejoin, bans will not
I’d say the largest part of this is the toxicity of pub lobbies to start with. Only dedicated communities like those of our largest partner servers here on Discord and a few outliers have the best player base. In short, bozos gonna bozo.
tbh the in-game community in vtol is generally pretty accepting, or at least not toxic. You can do fuck-all in an hour long game and no one will say anything about it as long as you're not being an ass. There's obviously exceptions, but that's the trend I notice from my experience in public PvE and PvP lobbies
Free flight lobbies make up a significant chunk of public lobbies and can vary wildly in the sort of people that hang out in them, but the vibe there just depends on what the host wants it to be
social credit score ? Hell no
