automatic formation flying?

imo the reason formation photos and videos look cool is cause you know its not something you can just do easily

didnt think about it that way, but if I knew all it took was a button for people to get formation flying pics, I would not be as impressed

just go on radar, find their mach and stay around their speed, its rlly not too difficult

yeah and once you get good enough you don't even need to do that you just do a high G stall roll and then inch up to their speed

Yes, using your entire plane to slow down is much faster

But if you’re trying to keep formation whilst slowing down just use airbrake and cut power

I can go from mach 2.4 to under mach 1 by using airbrake and cutting throttle in like 5-15 seconds

its just like, super airbrakes

sometimes you need super high closure rate and have to stop super hard at the end

it ends up being faster, if you can do it well
