#Translation for comms and ability to change text recognition to another language

Could be nice, but i can see a problem with the voice recognition, where some sounds would be missing from the recognition software, since some languages have sounds that others are missing. This would also require writing everything (to recognize) phonetically, which could cause more trouble, since again differences in speech. I feel that this could be more trouble than its worth.
Replacing voicelines could be nice, but can create a problem if the voice recognition is left at english only, since tower talks to u in russian, but u reply in english.
But replacing betty could be fairly straightforward, again the main problem is comms
ill bet on AI stuff (like gpt or other free models) that can recognize almost all languages.
About voicelines: im using comms screen bc english comms (when its not your native) is hard. also idk whole commands that i can say.
Still thinks that voicelines in russian will bring more immersive even if you should comms on eng
Question is if there are any free AIs that can recognize voices and be used in commertial products. If not, then what are the prices for using it in games? Is it worth it from the business perspective? I do agree that voices in your native language can help with immersion (at least if you arent fluent in english) but my main point is that it might not be worth the potential trouble. I dont know how hard it is to implement, especially in this day and age, but it probably is not easy
doesn’t VTOL use windows voice recognition ?
yes
there many depends. only dev can really say how hard it will be
#vtol_localization message Yeah we can try
