The F-45 is stealthy because of the internal weapon bay.
The FA-26 cannot be stealthy and cannot add that feature, since it cannot have an internal weapon bay. It simply cannot.
No other vehicle can.

Because the F-45 was added after the FA-26.
The F-45 added stealth.

New vehicles must add features that existing vehicles do not have.

When the FA-26 was added, the F-45 didn't exist yet.

So you need to convince the dev that there is something that existing vehicles can't do.

i think ASW and cargo are niches that can be filled by players & propellor planes

AEW and ISR are more for AI imo

the think about AC-130 and OA-1K (≈AT-802U) is that these airplanes are meant for low threat environments. like COIN (counter-insurgency) this sounds like a lot of fun, but VTOL is currently set up for a near peer war.

Meanwhile, the pilot would just turn on the autopilot most of the time and do nothing.
