I think it's too big. I'd love to see an S-3 ASW aircraft with other capabilities such as AEW&C, Aerial Refueling, and EW.

Overall P-8 is too big, it needs to be carrier capable

but i think that’s the most likely future addition in terms of new aircraft. Either fixed wing ASW or SH-60

the opportunity for it to serve as AEW/AWACS and even as a sort of bomber would satisfy a lot of people
