Reverse thrust to allow aircraft to stop quicker, and allow aircraft to back up.

IRL, aircraft such as the F/A-18 require a tractor or truck to push or pull aircraft in directions that it wouldn’t be able to go on its own, like moving backwards. https://oshkoshaerotech.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/AP8850-M-LEKTRO-Military-Towing-Equipment.jpg

With reverse thrust, not only will aircraft able to stop quicker, but also allows aircraft to maneuver themselves on the ground in ways they couldn’t do otherwise. Reverse thrust will only work if there is weight on the landing gear, which means that it will not work mid-flight. The aircraft must be grounded in order to activate reverse thrust. https://preview.redd.it/2w402aq4h6g41.jpg?auto=webp&s=a55240181731205e218fb8438979d0c0566a110b

Also allows aircraft to park their aircraft with greater precision on both airfields and aircraft carriers.

I also suggest a switch or button to toggle reverse thrust

I don’t know if AB is allowed when RT is enabled, so it might be limited to MIL-power
