#Make Ejection meaningful, expand the 'Player Lives' mechanic

Currently there is no incentive to Ejecting, I'd like to see something where when you Eject (and don't hit the ground too hard) you can 'survive' and not lose a life for whichever aircraft you piloted.
It's really not fun running out of lives in a multiplayer mission, this would make it less likely if you eject before you die.

Enable 'Pilot Ejection Survival' (only pilot deaths count towards aircraft lost) could be a togglable option right along side 'unit icons', and 'allow late joins' prior to hosting a multiplayer mission.

same thing, sorry : (

that's for picking them up after they go down, I'm suggesting something more basic that simply doesn't subtract a life if your pilot survives ejection.

The downed pilot system is a whole new gameplay mechanic in itself, this just expands the current lives system without having to add any new gameplay mechanics. Sure it's related to ejecting and player lives but I think it's a bit different than what the other guys is asking.

i see the difference.
it would also need a front line mechanic to check if captured (or in need of rescue if thats a thing)

the other guys idea is fantasic though. it'd be great to have both. either use the 'pickup downed pilots' option, or go for the basic option just using the 'pilot survival' option to not lose lives if your pilot survives.

one preserves lives from being lost, the other allows you to gain them back

but in that case baha would need to add pilot kills

#

otherwise any mission that depends on pilots life could be cheesed super easily
