If the lift-fan doors are open and then subject to too much force (such as too much speed), then they should be damaged/destroyed. Could also be damaged by munitions.
Would be detrimental to stealth and to flight performance.

I think the limit should be 200 knots, just to ensure people can’t pull crazy maneuvers at high speeds

This is a long requested feature, and well deserved
Dubya and I once had a vertical two circle a year or so ago in 45s while VIFFing. It would have gone forever if he hadn’t lost track on his Q2.

Nah, that’s too much realism. The 45 is just a tad overpowered in BFM, and as such, needs the nerf.

It's the fact that the F-45 can just turn inside almost any other aircraft while VIFFing, it's not exactly fair to play against. By having a damage or jam for the lift door or lift fan, it would make 45 dogfighting more unique

i don't think it's too much of and issue, the main thing is say your fighting a viffing 45, if he vifs too much he bleeds all of his speed so if you run away fast enough and go vertical they are usually pretty easy kills, if you need help with it I highly suggest asking @gray sundial about it as he has a lot more BFM experiance in the 26 than I do and he has a very good strat on how to counter viffers
