I have only been playing single player for a few weeks and my voice commands are no longer working. Verified game files on Steam, I believe the results were all files were good. It was working until a few days ago and I have not added any Window 11 updates and no new mods or skins (save one, see below). I have two mods installed and voice was working with them just fine (Contrails & Air Traffic, and Carrier Flight Desk skin. I did have the Jolly Roger's skin, but I deleted it as it may have occurred since installing that, but it did no good and I am not 100% sure when Voice stopped working). Cockpit radio is set to PTT and I get the appropriate radio sound, but no, for example tower talk back. Only works using the Comms on the MFCD. Any help would be appreciated!

For any support/help, it must be an unmodified version of the game, if possible replicate the issue without mods installed and send a new player.log

So I deleted all mods and skins. Validated files and 2 failed. Created a backup, then reacquired files. 579 now successfully validated - game works like a charm again! Mods...uurrgh. Thanks for the help friend 🙂

Hi, I haven't played in a day and guess what - no more voice commands. Ran validation, 1 file not validated. Had to create a backup (again) reaquired the file, then revalidated - yup that worked! Am I going to have to do this ever time I play? Is there a way to determine what file is being corrupted and by what...no mods or skins, but I do have the Mod Loader still installed, that's the only thing I can think of.

Either the modloader or your antivirus, those are the only real options for what's messing with game files.
Did you fully disable the modloader in the modloader?

To disable the VTOL VR Mod Loader, follow these steps:
- In the Mod Loader's settings, under the Diagnostics section, click on the button next to "Disable Mod Loader".
- Go into Steam and verify your game files. Type
/help verifyfor help with this step.

Disabled Mod Loader - seems to be working fine. Going to validate game files, then do a computer restart and try to validate files; if I get the invalid files I guess that will point towards anti-virus software...

"Invalid files" is caused by the mod loader, it changes a bunch of the game files to load mods

So on restart no Voice Commands. Ran validation check came back 579 validated. Re-opened the game and now they work again. Gotta call it a night. Too much time on tech stuff and not enough flying and blowing crap up! In frustration, I did shoot down an AWACS with two 120's from like 5 miles haha. Thx again for your help, I really appreciate it.

Ok, so before I played I checked and verified all 579 files were valid. Player no Voice Commands. Closed game. Reverified files. All OK. started game. Comms worked, but experienced shuttering on comms activations. After a few minutes Voice Commands no longer working. All this time the comms on the MFCD always worked. This is starting to suck BIG TIME!
