I draw the scenes using clip studio using normal lines first, then using aseprite I go through the process of relining them, coloring them, and animating them

(u dont need to do the first step. U can skip it and go to drawing on aseprite immediately but you'll be drawing on a very small canvas so it helps having a base sketch)

I think to get that hieroglyphic feeling you should put the bodies facing towards the viewer while the heads face left or right ( you can't really do that irl and it gives it the egyptian effect ) and clear simplified lines for the chatacters, hope it helps

also lots of straight lines, hiroglyphics don't really look organic more like, well, drawn! excited to see whatever you produce !
