Okay so... Did anyone here thought about how much Senku from Dr. Stone sucks at basic biology? Man's constantly wearing same piece of clothing made of leather for several years. And the catch here is the fact that leather doesn't allow air to go through it. It's too thick for that. And he is ALSO constantly wearing belt that rubs against his skin underneath the robe. And Senku is a sweaty teen. What i'm saying is that the inside of his robe especially the belt area is heaven for all sorts of bacteria. And i'm not even talking about the smell here(trust me, i once had a time when a part of skin on my hand wasn't able to breathe and it started smelling like rotten flesh over time) but about the simple fact that he states that hygiene is very important in stane age AND YET ignores the basic things that you learn in middle school. That onion-headed idiot made a giant petri dish out of himself!

One good (and short) manga about dealing with great consequences is takopii no genzai, it has some ex machinas but its still a pretty solid title

I can make a whole ass re-write of Dr. Stone that i am quite sure will be able to get to the heart of even such a stupid rock as my friend who said that Senku needing some time to process his father's death is out of character

But like... Writer established an amazing cast and most if not all of them go through some kind of arc of their own. Senku dealing with realization of being basically alone in the world, Tsukasa rethinking his priorities, Hyoga questioning himself, Chrome accepting his role of scientist, Suika dealing with lonliness, Yukio trying to stand by his own morale and so on so forth. All characters have some kind of arc. They aren't one dimensional. They have volune and were definitely done with love and care BUT it all went to waste because writer wasn't brave enough to actually kill someone

If stakes were just a tiny bit higher... If petrification wasn't a "cure all" and had limitations... If someone got AT LEAST injured to the point of no-return and became disabled... If the team got al least one hit on their morale

I just want to see Senku fail. I want to see how he deals with situation with no actual escape

We all know his "Save all" strat but what if you're in an open space and there's only one gas gallon which won't allow survival for anyone?

Stakes are what makes viewing experience thrilling. Seeing character deal with obstacles is the main source of entertainment. But it becomes boring the moment you realize that there will be no consequences for their actions

Which isn't how life works

All that changes in Senku is the ammount of hair falling on his face. Starting with one before petrification, then two after and one thin and one almost fully covering his eye after the lethal blow he got

There are no changes in his character

Ironically enough, the character with most potential became the flattest of them all

Like sure he cares about his friends and people as a whole. But it never pushed him to any actual mistakes. If you establish a character with traits then you need to use these traits and not just show their existence

Make Senku make irrational mistake. Make him act out of character in the rush of situation. Make his plan fail for once

And then make his mistake bring consequences

That will actually affect everyone

Make people start questioning what had actually happened while Senku gets more distant to not make same mistake again. And then show them encouraging him for once

For now they just follow him because he never failed and they kinda have no choice

But how about giving them said choice and reason to question Senku

BUT NOOOOOO! IT HAS TO BE A HAPPY END!

I liked the manga. It's quite fresh and lovley. Character are alive and go through arcs while still keeping up with the mass story. But the thing that frustrates me is the immesurable potential that was just yeeted out of a window after we knew that petrification can not just heal wounds but ressurect people

That's the point where all stakes became useless

Technically, you could if you're using bluestacks
that's how I played Cookie run Kingdom until I got a new phone that could run it
But without bluestacks, then no - it's just mobile only and bluestacks is there to emulate phone for ya on your PC

the only "guarrantee out of pity" I saw in cookie run, is during ancients releases, where if you pull 250 times, you get the Ancient for free

but of course to get to 250 pulls, you need to get some packages
