Pardon me for what is bound to be a rant. I don't like "dating sims" per say, but I am a fan of choose-your-path games. Interactive storybook type things. Usually not romance, but a handful have caught my interest in the past. I did like Desire & Decorum, in an app called Choices: Stories You Play, which is inspired by the works of Jane Austen. I got to punch a Duke. He was a jerk.
In the same app, there's Blades of Light and Shadow, which is very D&D-like. There were romance options but I ignored them for the adventure plot. I'm still waiting for book 2.
There's another game called Choices, which is the best choose-your-adventure game I have ever played. There are three stories that you can pick from. I forget the names, but I played one about superheroes. Every choice matters.
Now, there's also an app called Detective's Choice. There are other ones by the same creators that are more D&D fantasy type stuff (like about Rangers and Wizards and Rogues), but this one was just soooo good that it made the others pale in comparison. It's a good old fashion gritty circa 1960s detective story, but it has magic and werewolves. There might've been romance but I don't remember. 🤔

Huh well Choices: Stories You Play has a wide selection of "books". I believe they only have a couple of end-game endings, if that makes sense.
