So was I! But when people say don’t worry, they really mean it. I’m a trypanophobic (which I actually think I just conquered today) and have irrational anxiety of doctors and dentists. However, the worst part is the anticipation for most people. For me, it was the IV. But when they got it in I fell asleep very quickly— there wasn’t a countdown or anything, just like that. Then I woke up and I was on my way home, napping in the car.

I really am sorry to hear that. My trypanophobia came from childhood where I suddenly and without warning had to get blood drawn. However, I think I’m slowly getting over it. I wish I could give you more advice, but I’m not sure what to say. I suppose with time (and the fact I didn’t have much a choice), I’ve learned that the buildup is worse. Then it’s a tiny sting and it’s over.
