The problem with the most of the gigs I did was they were not ticketed so I would sit in the background of an irish pub playing, and pubs being pubs a lot of the people there werent paying any attention.. so you put all that energy out and hardly any of it is given back

and then when it came to paid gigs it was a different problem.. you had to be worth what they are paying you and it was so stressful

by that I mean if someone hires a harper for an event or something

of course the pub gigs were paid too but its different.. regular gigs less stressful
