I agree with Damy, but also have to throw this in: the most important thing in coding is practicing. It's a skill, and the only way to hone it is to keep at it. As long as you understand what is going on, you will start to notice what is called boilerplate code. That is fine to be copied. The rest is up to you to implement.

Also, keep stuff like like W3 and MDN close. They're the best in business when it comes to this part of IT.

Let's say you have an html document. You also has its corresponding styles and scripting documents. You want the html to know of these ones. If you simply specify their names (usually styles.css and script.js) then it will look in its neighbourhood, in its file where it resides. If you tell in the html document something akin to ./home it will look in the directory named home, one level outside the cutrent directory the html resides in.
