China, our mainstream culture doesn't have that much festive stuff that's not already super clichéd lol like the Chinese New Year, the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc. etc.
Personally I just find our shopping festivals fascinating (like the recent 5.20 and 5.21, which are turned into romance-related marketing heydays because the words five, two, and zero or five, two, and one in mandarin sound a lot like "I love you")
