Using cryptozoology as a base, I chopped it down to crypto and looked up the origin of the word, and it looks to be Greek in origin. So, I googled the Greek word for fairy and got "nerΓ‘ida", which to me is reminiscent of the mythological naiad and nereid. Anyway, I smooshed that with ology and came up with "neraidology". Thoughts on that?
(To be fair I have a book on "dragonology" and "monsterology" so I suppose it doesn't need to be to professional to be passable)
