Idk if UB uses it cuz I always play in low quality but in the Cube Escape games, High Quality sepparates the layers of interactive objects to the walls and background, so everything seems to have a little distance

The rotating cubes are also 2D, they arent a 3D model

If you are playing demo version: you need to use the numbers from cube escape: the cave. you need to achieve "the story continues" achievement from the cave to get the numbers.
