Using reverse reverb to introduce vocals or leads can really enhance your productions
Don't be afraid to try different/weird things, don't be too "safe"
do whatever the fuck you want x
Don't master your track during production. This will create unwanted or complicated to fix problems.
Always try synths that are free, there is a chance you will find something unique in them.
Don't be afraid to use weird samples, there is always a way to make them fit no matter what.
Logic Pro X:
||To make the reverb of a kick sound punchier and hit harder, make a new Track with a Test Oscillator as the instrument. Now tune that bad boi down to about 45.000 - 50.000 Hz. Then add another Track with a stock kick loop from the LogicX library and place it where the reverb of your kick hits. Lastly add a noise gate to the test oscillator and in the noise gate settings, set the sidechain to the kick loop. Now the oscillator should play its low sub-bass tone whenever the kick loop/reverb hits||
Is that too much detail?
Walk around with a portable audio recorder and record random sounds (animals, squeaky doors etc). With enough processing you can make anything from a clap to a full on kick.
Try to listen to released tracks in detail and use little tricks you find in own production.
use a soft clipper at the end of your Hardstyle kick mixer chain to make it more powerful and less limiting on the master
if you want a good punch like vertile, use a clap instead of a kick, and add a small amount of reverb
Get good

wait what i thought vertile kick was already debunked and it is straight up edited kick
do whatever you want to do. with time you will come to certain genre you'd like to produce
and also, just watch tutorials and listen to music
If you are finished with your tracks contact The Label Without Name to get them released
Best tip ever
even if it's non-hardstyle?
All Harder Styles + Hardtekk + Schranz welcome if it's good
legit just pulled this move yesterday, somehow it works
seriously?, a punch already done only edited?
Vertile makes his kicks out of a sylenth patch
Just a small pitch envelope to create a 909-like sound
He has shown this in two different masterclasses
well ofc
but i saw people discussing out of what kind of starting sound he makes his kicks, maybe i read into it wrongly
"OMG USING DRUM LOOPS AND MELODY LOOPS IS CHEATING" my ass
as we all probably know by now, Splice is definitely a home for a bunch of overused vocal samples but seriously, try browsing through stuff like instrument loops; there's always a high chance that they'll become a source of inspiration (whether you just throw them directly into the project and start an idea from there or if you wanna recreate them/make something similar); plus, sample packs in general are distributed for other producers to use so there's really nothing to be worried about
It's not cheating - you just have to think about whether a sample you're using is going to be recognized or not, and if you care about that or not
and you can always manipulate the specific sound that you wanna use
as i said, โจ source of inspiration โจ
CHEATER!!! YOU HAVE TO CREATE EVERY RISER AND CYMBAL BY YOURSELF FROM SCRATCH!!!!
AND EVERY LIVE INSTRUMENT NEEDS TO BE SYNTHESIZED FROM SCRATCH TOO !!!!!!111
BECAUSE PEOPLE ON THE DANCEFLOOR WILL DEFINITELY CARE ABOUT WHERE THAT RISER CAME FROM MISTER CHEATER!
pog
clank it up has Paardje In Galop sampled
and the GPF FUCKK sound
im pretty sure
but to a point where its not recognizable at all
bruhhh
bruh
someone sent in #producing video of how to make similar to his kick
tbf it do be like that with me
I know, because I edited the sample together, and now we use it in everything ;P

Use scale highlighting in piano roll to make it easier to make melodies/ chords.
-
Don't think that chords should be "blocky" - think this is a common issue
What is your definition of "blocky"?
That every note in a chord is the same length
doesn't that depend on the lead though, since most chop their chords to the main melody
and yes, it isn't really a problem at all
Ig that depends if you make the chords first or after lead
ngl, i have a friend that always says making chords first is better, and to this day i still don't know why
Well I feel chords set the feel of the entire track. I used to think the opposite
doesn't starting with the chords first limits the creativity on the melody though
this is purely a matter of taste, so i can understand if people disagree
This is what I meant - dont do this. Don't be afraid to have sustained notes which stretch across to other chords.
oh, so chords acting like pads
those do work well in some tracks, particularly in euphoric when a sidechain pad/chord is played alongside the melody
You're wording this as if this is "wrong" to do?
What's wrong with making chords 1 note long
Nothing, but don't limit to doing so. At least I get way more interesting progressions that way
Subtle distortion on simple synth sounds can make them sound more "warm". The chords here are just simple sine waves with some distortion... ( and reverb ofcourse )
are these sines or saws? because these sound a lot like saws
Fourier has entered the chat
I guess my tip would be - don't force an idea when it isn't working, don't produce on a day when you don't have the right mood, and don't ignore your gut instincts
Ableton workflow:
Anytime you have something highlighted / selected, if you hold down ctrl while you drag and drop, you'll copy the selected piece instead of just moving it
If you turn the phase knob to 0 on Ableton's Auto Pan effect, it turns into a volume automation like Tremolo
Since we're talking Ableton, you can do the same thing in a more controlled way by attaching an LFO to a Utility's Gain knob
sidechain๐ฟ
mastering tip:
i hate you so much xd
this is why im a better producer than you
this is why deez nuts are in your mouth

using fruity convolver on kickrolls can help make it look more interesting with the reverb on the kick
another tip: if you hear a pop every time a kick ends, you need to do a direct automation on the sample at the end of it to solve this
(only for fl studio 21)
just bleed the kick out, way simpler
Fade out
For the FL users, use the builtin transient processor to add some click to your kicks
Slowly turn the attack up and play with the split freq until it sounds ok
also the releasebutton for the length of the punch/click but default is mostly ok
And if you donโt have the FL edition to do that - you can also use any regular compressor with make up gain ๐
volume automation through a soft clipper gives you pretty much the same thing
True, but this is a lazy/easy method
whats wrong with lazy/easy
at the end, you do you my dude
some people do that
like, i've sampled all of Vertiles transient for exemple lmao
but i use them for a rough eq matching
using izotope match eq, pushing it to the max and using a volume shaper to control rining due to iz meq to be linearphase
honestly, the quickest way for me to have transients on my kicks, since i'm so bad at making transients
i mean, if it's "micro" sampling, it's not a problem
Nothing, that's why we use plugins!
nobody is crazy enough to claim that their transient has been ripped
I just gave an alternative, since Transient Processor doesn't come with Producer Edition
Kilohearts transient shaper is free
and is honestly easier to use than Transient Processor
I was referring to the builtin one, lazy/easy is a good thing
this tip can make your punch have more characteristics and can also improve it, basically I take a kick, leave it alone and on the second kick I raise the pitch all the way up and leave it below the original punch, only a little low
Please lowcut the pitched sample
I don't know FL - is this 1 octave?
