I'm working on my own GUI library nowadays. Hope when it attains maturity it'll be a nice project to display.

It uses vulkan (for now) and I'm following a plugin based approach for rendering. There won't be full set of rendering Pipelines like game engines, but the plugin can draw almost anything 2D.

Goal is to support both 2D and 3D in future to help create scientific applications as well
