After thinking about the handcuff idea, I think the taser could use a small re work. The taser at the moment has unlimited ammo.... Have you thought about adding different types of ammo to the taser? Low cost ammunition could have shorter range but longer range ammo could be more expensive. Increasing the severity of the taser effects per ammunition type could also be considered. Maybe there could be different types of tasers the higher the device the more severe the effects to the person being tased?

I think this could be interesting, but we’ll need to draw a line somewhere between laser and gun
Irl, tasers are single-use (for sanitary reasons, mainly)
So maybe a more powerful version could be added that does have limited uses
Although keep in mind that you can use redstone to give the taser a boost

The cartriage that they shoot are single use, you cannot use them anymore yes but the taser itself all you have to do is reload it and you're good to go

It's already there there's not different ammo the current is regulated by the weapon not the cartridge. The cartridge is an explosive charge that propulses the darts and cables
That's how tasers work IRL??? They require ammo to shoot, you reload the taser devise itself with a cartrage and are able to shoot it

My suggestion is to add ammo and possibly different types of tasers which make the lengh of the shot longer
like in real life

The current taser ingame has unlimited ammo and is short in range i think this addition could be nice to the game as well as my other hand cuff suggestion. I can actually hire security guards in my facility.
yes each taser and taser ammo would have a different recipe the higher you go, the higher you go the more expensive it cost but the taser itself would be more powerfull same as the ammo, the higher tier ammo will have a longer shot lentgh + more duration on the effects you get when stun.
To tell the different tasers apart by tier you can have them in different colors, you know how the current one is yellow and black? you can have one thats orange and black, Blue and black, red and black etc etc whatever feels good
For example, the weakest tier can be yellow and black, mid tier can be orange and black, top tier can be red and black
