why i'm doing this:
- linux support oowweeeooo (aldin one doesn't work through wine even, weird)
- why is the aldin one more than 0.1 gigabyte !!
lol
That mod manager was a temp thing till Andrew added plugins to the workshop
ture,, however
Also, why is this gonna be significantly worse?
because i'm shit at programming
(it doesnt really mean anything i just needed to title this post something other than "mod manager")
weeew
@neat ivy if you send me the max out plugin I can add it to the mod manager
Also, https://gttodmods.vegapatch.net/mods.json
If you are interested in using this
https://github.com/bsmntoid/com.bsmntec.maxout/releases/tag/release here's the repo for maxout
What description would you like?
i don't mind really
AHHHH
BUILD ARTIFACTS IN SOURCE
i am hateful man
uh oh
@neat ivy I have added it
I stole that from the bepinex pack
!! i gnome
What do the remove and add buttons do?
i haven't implemented them yet (literally just a ui with no functions behind it) but the remove button will let you uninstall a mod and the add button will let you add a mod
so like the checkbox?
sorta
i'm gonna use the checkbox to move the mod to a "disabled" folder, where it doesn't get picked up but is still stored and can be re-enabled at a moments notice
I just redownload them lol
fair lol
i just figure in the case that we end up with mods that are larger than a few mb, a way to temporarily disable would probably be helpful
that can be provided by the modder in game
eehh
k8lib gives you an easy way to do that
ee hh
what?
eeehh
just spit it out
Do i use both mod manage r
i wouldn't in case they conflict in a weird way which they probably will
but this one isnt coming out for ages so i wouldnt worry about it
use whatever you like more, but mine is already out
by the time this one is out we'll probably already have workshop plugins lmao
GTTOD - plugin manager (Qt6/C++)
credit cane with name!!!!
credit for new name goes to grainknicker
what, this is qt?
You have let the mod installer market grow stagnant
bsmntec stocks have dropped 23.358%
I stopped investing weeks ago
GTTOD - plugin manager (cli/rust)
whart
then get off ya fat ass n do it
Weak will
I made the file size smaller with the new update
I hope you feel like your complaint has been addressed
lmao
also improved the startup time
Was working on getting the workshop plugin installer working on deck and decided why not check the mod manager
I will not take this slader
It works for the most part, visual styles don't work, the settings menu is completely broken (and if you change a setting you have to delete the proton files to fix it), the background is black (glow still works though).
But you can install mods with it, and it can even find your game folder automatically even though steam is installed on the Z drive according to it. (More of a testament to how good proton is but I'll still take this W. Kinda surprised that works to be honest, the mod manager checks the windows registry for your steam install location then digs through the library folders config. I'm shocked that the steam install location is actually set in the proton windows registry.)
But yeah, setting up BepInEx is harder than setting up the mod manager on deck
ok
Kinda hurts to be honest
not really sure what's going on here
yeah, 9 months ago
Still not going to let you slander me
should have tested it 9 months ago
Wasn't convenient
it also doesn't work on my machine still
Proton?
i don't use proton for applications outside of steam, it's bad practice generally
Proton is better though
better for steam games
Also this relies on steam being installed in the environment
Proton does that for free
Give one example of an app that doesn't work under proton but works under wine
proton struggles with video and audio codecs, so it's not good for DAWs or video editors for one
Might be why the backgrounds don't work
no, they also don't work in wine
You got it running?
in wine, yes. but the path auto-detect doesn't work, which is expected
Works in proton
i will admit that it DOES work in proton
but either way, my mod manager has never been usable and never will be
You mod manager could have something mine will never
A startup time that doesn't suck
like what? Go to the Diddy party?
- create weapon mods (something i generally enjoy doing)
- actually play the damn game
- Can you please finish one?
- Rather go to a Diddy party this game smells

Please finish ๐
