I need to make a better example weapon
my one gripe with the charge fire is that the ball of energy doesn't disappear immediately
also would make more sense to use a projectile instead of hitscan imo
I thought it looked weird when it did that
so I changed it

an alternative would be to have it shrink a little faster and then play a muzzle flash effect
like the simple muzzle flash that's in the mod tools but blue

Big Trouble has hitreg issues and Double Trouble has awful bloom that makes it borderline unusable

ok just tried it again in quick play and its actually not horrible
tho compared to something like the default pistol it feels weirdly unforgiving
there's very little wiggle room for your aim
playing at 21 aim assist btw
(also the single gun dual wield can get confusing lmao, I just instinctively grabbed lovers off the leyline offering)

also some of the sounds are a little quiet

I think if you just shorten the lifetime on the particles and tighten the cone a little it'll be fine
rather die in a hole then continue to tweak the effects, I can send you the project if you would like to
I will not change the lifetime there are a million curves I would have to fix to do that
the cone could change but the noise will still fuck it up

blaster only had .5 on the charge mode

The only possibility is that the bullet hits the chain
(it can't hit the gun)
but then you would still get a hit effect

switching off and back onto the gun fixes it

tbh the BABE should just be the dual-wield, with maybe a secondary where both shoot at once for higher damage but lower rpm. also make the accuracy or bloom or whatever not suck

Concluding a little brainstorm I did: the muzzle flash idea I sent Aldin is cringe. Tweaking existing one would yield better results.
I suggest lowering around of sparks and grouping them together more, so they won't fly out too far.

Idea 1) its a single shot rocket launcher. Compared to base counter part it deals more damage, has much faster rockets but small AOE. Player must score direct hits
idea 2) Add a magazine on the size, doom 3 style. 4-5 rockets in the mag. Alt fire - unload entire mag in 1 quick burst

Idea:
primary fire is a super fast micro aoe rockets with big damage
alt fire is dumping all rockets you have in quick burst. They're a lot slower, have proper AOE and less damage
What still needs finished on this thing
Adjust muzzle flashes and improve bloom for dual wield mode so its slightly more accurate during sustained fire

if you're really itching to get it out, grab an inspect frame with the hud disabled and use that instead

I think gun concept needs a revision whenever mod tools 2 become avaible.
Instead of dual wield alt fire for babe how about we make 2 variants of the gun packed in the mod:
- Current variant with new alt fire for babe
- twin variant. Dual wield at all times, update fire modes accordingly.
No animation changes needed, just implementation
