He isn’t saying that to his own squad members. He’s telling the Decepticons that THEY are about to “reap the whirlwind” by comparing his Autobots to divine retribution. Or at least that’s my take.

I can live with that. But when I looked it up, it was actually Megatron who taunts his opponents with that. Ultimately, to hell with Furman’s trite use of the phrase. It’s still not applicable in the context of Prime.
