I don't understand this. Even tho he's in my alliance, the alliance name doesn't shows below his name when I visit his base. This happens quite with HQ 18 players, I may say I've experienced this 3 or 4 times.

Then what about a player who logged in every day but alliance name never was visible

That in itself would be a bug if he had stayed in the alliance the entire time. But if he’s been leaving and coming back/accepted while offline it won’t show. Kind of like when you scout a base showing an active combiner beacon but they’ve been offline long enough for it to expire
