Tech Tree not registering assignments of points

On one of my accounts I had 3 skill points for the tech tree. I went to assign the points and tried twice to assign an available tech tree ability. Not only did it not assign the skill points, but now I'm out two skill points. I can only imagine that when I get to the max tech tree I will now be two points short.

@high tiger is this a known bug? And how can we resolve this?

How am I calculating this? Well I had 3 available points. I pushed the button as above that i circled to select the tech tree ability. It didn't register and I thought I may have not pressed it hard enough. I failed to notice it had deducted one skill point so I pressed the same ability again and it still remains locked. As you see it says I only have one available skill point to assign. I am at the point that I am receiving 3 skill points at a time.

Yes i tried to assign a skill point to unlock it twice and it still did not assign/unlock it

Yes to unlock it. I tried to unlock it twice. Scared to use the other skill point I have since this just happened.

All my other accounts have never had an issue. This is why I'm bringing this to attention

Are you done with your tech tree? You said assigned as in past tense. This has only happened today.

i think if it's this server's timezone, maybe it's today, yesterday in my timezone

When you assigned the the points, was it something already unlocked? This was one that was locked as in the first point assigned.
