Bundle Purchase Mishaps

So, it’s twice now that I’ve bought a $9.99 bundle (precious Star Saber, and now Tarn bundles) and I’ve been charged more than the bundle I’ve chosen, and also had MORE money taken from my account than what the bundle amount was.

I’m still fairly confident that it’s an issue with how purchasing with Apple works, but I do find it odd that two times now I’ve had more money taken from me than what I’d explicitly chosen to spend.

The process I’ve experienced is

• I have $30 I’ve chosen to spend

• I buy a single $9.99 bundle

• I get a notification from my bank app that a transaction was cancelled, twice, as for some reason I’m charged both a $30 and $20 fee for the bundle.

• I check my transaction activity and instead of it simply taking the intended $10 I see that I’m charged $20.

I’m susceptible to overthinking but I’d give it the benefit of the doubt that my money will be returned to me, but I still find it REALLY weird more money is being taken from me than what I’ve chosen to put in.

It’s twice more than I’d honestly like to that I’ve had to report this.

If it comes off as if I’m simply complaining, I do apologize, it’s a bit of an issue losing more money than what I chose to spend.

Open a ticket and request a refund for the overcharged amount

Yeah I’ve already done so, it’s just that this makes it the 2nd time now and I’m hesitant to keep putting money towards this game going forward now

Not that you should have to do this but maybe buy Apple gift cards and use that balance to purchase bundles

Or use a virtual card through privacy.com or similar service. You can limit the amount to be charged

I just might do that. I’d love to keep supporting the game (though the level creep is astounding and I don’t spending money on it when it’s just casual for me) but at this point this is just ridiculous.

So yeah I’ll probably do that or just not put anymore money into the game going forward. Thank you.

Maybe the difference in the bundle price and what you are being charged is due to sales tax?

I don’t think buying a product that’s $9.99 should be bumped up to $20 due to sales tax.

It was my first thought the first time admittedly but now it’s definitely not the deal.

It’s either something on my end or something else but I don’t know why I’m being charged $32 for a $10 bundle.

At this point I genuinely don’t know. I’ve hopped off the game for a week and this just doesn’t make sense.
