#can the devs give me one reason why they can’t fix this?

The decepticon base is our B1 in war…

The Autobot one is the enemies B1 in the same war… we have several members who are a closer base level. So why does it choose some of the most uneven matchmaking?

B3, same as above, Decepticon base is severely lacking in comparison to Autobots

its random on choosing defence 😦

Usually there are some strong base in a medium level alliance like that

#

and unluckily your enemies got the strong base as defense

@pseudo nexus they are currently in the middle of completely redesigning how war works. Please don't ask for them to change how war currently works.

That’s true, I just hope this could be incorporated into the changes

A better balance

I hope the same

@pseudo nexus, help me out here, because I don’t understand what your complaint is. The matchup system as it stands is already fair and equitable to both alliances, is it not?

As has been explained previously, B1 is a random selection from the easiest 30%(?) of each alliance’s bases, B2 is a random selection from the middle 30%(?) of each alliance’s bases, and B3/B4 are random selections from the toughest 40%(?) of each alliance’s bases. (I can’t remember the exact percentages of each difficulty pool, but it’s something like that.)

What more can they do? It can’t get more fair than “random”, can it? And if one alliance is significantly stronger/weaker than the other alliance, obviously the bases on each side aren’t going to match. Or am I misunderstanding what you’re asking?

I get where you are coming from OP but if it worked like you are suggesting then would be a ton of other issue. Like an alliance with a few high levels carrying the he defense, causing everyone else’s base level and setup to not matter at all, this way strong defense carrying the alliance to a higher rank that the majority of the members could not compete in. In a more practical sense: over time every war would turn into max level HQ/defense as base 1, even down to bronze league, if you can’t clear that then you can’t help your alliance in wars at all

I don't believe that's true.

Each base is given some sort of "strength value" and made candidate for the easy/medium/hard spots in the defence line-up accordingly.

With medium now being any base between, say, 100 and 200 (values are obviously arbitrary) the system can now put a 101 base on one side (maybe an hq15) against a 199 base on the other (possibly a maxex hq17).

All we're asking for is for the system to see if there's something available on the other side which more closely matches that "101 strength" base it randomly picked out.

So essentially the system would work the same as now. It would just narrow the bandwidth of available bases for the opposing base.

I don't see how this would create an upward trend in bases on defence. As the core system still looks for a lower level to be put on B1 through B3.
